One of the most significant sources of high-quality green aventurine, particularly known for its vibrant green color and strong aventurescence.

Collecting tips
- Look for Metamorphic Terrains. Focus your search in regions known for metamorphic rock formations, particularly schists and gneisses, as these are the primary host rocks for aventurine.
- Identify Aventurescence. The key identifying feature is the sparkling effect. Rotate the sample under a light source to observe the characteristic shimmer caused by mica inclusions.
- Check for Green Coloration. While aventurine can be other colors, green aventurine is specifically characterized by its green hue, typically due to fuchsite. Be aware of other green minerals that lack aventurescence.
- Hardness Test. As a variety of quartz, it should scratch glass and steel (Mohs hardness 7). This helps distinguish it from softer green minerals.
