Collecting tips
- Look for Hydrothermal Veins. Strawberry Quartz forms in hydrothermal environments. Search for quartz veins within igneous or metamorphic rocks, particularly in areas known for mineral deposits.
- Examine Color and Inclusions. Distinguish Strawberry Quartz by its characteristic pink to red color and the presence of visible, often sparkling, red or orange inclusions (hematite or lepidocrocite). Rose Quartz is typically a more uniform, milky pink without distinct inclusions.
